ESPN placed Florida State near the end of it’s list for the remaining undefeated teams in college football.

Florida State was ranked No. 15 on the list of 21 undefeated teams. The Seminoles moved to 4-0 with a 44-14 win over Boston College in Week 4.

ESPN college football Bill Connelly detailed Florida State’s season to this point. He explained why Florida State was ranked No. 15.

“After proving their resilience in beating LSU and Louisville by a combined 5 points, Mike Norvell’s Seminoles proved their upside by blowing out banged-up Boston College from the start. Jordan Travis needed only 16 completions to amass 321 yards, and the score was 14-0 after three minutes and 37-0 late in the third quarter. This was absolute destruction, and it bumped the Noles up 10 spots in SP+.”

Connelly rewarded Florida State for handling an inferior Boston College team at home. This was Florida State’s 2nd double-digit win of the season. With 4 wins over Duquesne, LSU, Louisville, and Boston College, Florida State has climbed up on Connelly’s list.

The team showed resilience in wins over LSU and Louisville. With the win over Boston College, Norvell’s squad showed how well they can perform against an injured opponent.

Florida State has an important matchup against Wake Forest on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
