Bonagura and Schlabach certainly factored Florida State’s recent struggles into the projections. Schlabach pitted Florida State against Minnesota in the Pinstripe Bowl. Bonagura projected that Florida State would play Maryland in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

Under head coach Mike Norvell, Florida State has not reached a bowl in 2 seasons. Florida State’s last bowl game was in 2019 when the Seminoles played in the Sun Bowl against Arizona State. For Florida State to qualify for a bowl game, it will require a strong ending to the regular season.
