ESPN has updated its bowl projections for all of college football after Week 6.

Florida State enters Week 7 as one of the top contenders for a berth in the College Football Playoff. The Noles are undefeated and have big wins over LSU and Clemson already on their résumé.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach and Kyle Bonagura updated their projections for Florida State’s postseason this week. Both analysts have Florida State facing Georgia in the Sugar Bowl this season as part of the College Football Playoff.

This would be Florida State’s first trip to the College Football Playoff since the 2014 season. FSU is 4-6 all-time against Georgia, but these programs have not met since the Sugar Bowl at the end of the 2002 season.

Michigan and Washington are the other CFP semifinalists in the projection from both Schlabach and Bonagura. Here’s some analysis from Bonagura on why FSU was included over programs such as Ohio State and Oklahoma:

It’s fair to consider that Florida State might not be as good as Ohio State, Penn State or Oklahoma, but the Seminoles have the easiest (but still not easy) path to remaining undefeated, which is why they move up in the No. 4 spot.

Florida State will face Syracuse at home in Week 7.
