Florida State is a big betting favorite over Boston College in their Week 4 matchup this weekend.

ESPN’s Football Power Index agrees with Vegas’ assessment, giving the Noles an 89.2% chance to defeat the Eagles. That’s up from FPI’s preseason projection in this game — 79% chance of victory for Florida State.

Florida State enters this game with a 3-0 record and is on the cusp of the AP Top 25. The Seminoles haven’t been ranked since 2018 but could get there with another win this weekend.

FSU battled a rash of injuries in its comeback win over Louisville last weekend. Quarterback Jordan Travis was arguably the most significant, although he has already returned to practice.

Florida State has not updated the status of other key players such as defensive end Jared Verse or left tackle Robert Scott Jr. It’s worth noting that FPI does not take injuries into account for their projections.

Boston College is off to a rough start in 2022. The Eagles lost their first 2 games of the season to Rutgers and Virginia Tech. They finally got into the win column in Week 3, beating Maine.

Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
