Florida State is a significant underdog in its marquee matchup vs. LSU this weekend.

The Seminoles have just a 27.5% chance of pulling off the upset against LSU, according to projections from ESPN’s Football Power Index.

Florida State is coming off a 47-7 Week 0 win over Duquesne. The Seminoles have several new players this season, including receiver Mycah Pittman, running back Trey Benson and linebacker Tatum Bethune.

LSU also underwent some changes this offseason. The Tigers brought in Brian Kelly to be the program’s head coach. LSU also added Arizona State transfer Jayden Daniels to help solidify the quarterback position.

Florida State is only a 3-point underdog in Vegas, according to the DraftKings spread. FSU is also +135 on the money line. Based on that information, Vegas oddsmakers seem to be giving Florida State more credit than FPI.

Florida State is 7-2 all-time against LSU. The Noles have won 4 straight meetings in this series.

FSU and LSU will kick off from the Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
