ESPN’s SP+ predicts final score in Florida State-Wake Forest game

Florida State will host Wake Forest this weekend in a top 25 showdown that will have major implications on the ACC title race.

The Seminoles are favored by 6.5 points in Vegas, and ESPN’s SP+ has a similar projection for this game. SP+ is predicting a final score of Florida State 35, Wake Forest 29.

Florida State is coming off of a dominant win over Boston College in Week 4. Quarterback Jordan Travis threw for a new career high in passing yardage while running back Trey Benson scored 3 total touchdowns.

Wake Forest fell in double overtime at home to Clemson last weekend. However, the Demon D

eacons proved they still have arguably the top offense in the ACC. Sam Hartman threw for 6 touchdowns in the loss and was repeatedly able to take advantage of Clemson’s secondary.

The winner of this game will remain a serious contender for the ACC Atlantic title. Florida State hasn’t reached the ACC title game since 2014. Wake Forest won the Atlantic last season.

Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
