DJ Uiagalelei committed to Florida State on Monday afternoon.

Uiagalelei will play his final year of eligibility in Tallahassee. He returns to the ACC, where he began his career with Clemson. Uiagalelei spent the 2023 season at Oregon State and helped the Beavers to an 8-4 regular season.

Uiagalelei will now take over a Florida State program that will be hoping to contend for an ACC Championship again in 2024. The Noles started the year 13-0 this season and won the conference for the first time since 2014.

“That’s where I wanted to go the whole time,” Uiagalelei told ESPN’s Pete Thamel. “I can’t wait to get there and get to work.”

Florida State has been pursuing transfer portal quarterbacks over the past several weeks. Former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward also took a visit to Tallahassee in December. However, Ward decided to enter the 2024 NFL Draft instead of returning to college football.

Uiagalelei is the second transfer addition for Florida State so far this offseason. The Noles are expected to continue recruiting high-level transfers in the coming weeks as they try to build out their 2024 roster.
