Fentrell Cypress made a touchdown-saving play at the goal line on Saturday vs. Pitt.

Konata Mumpfield was less than a yard away from putting the Panthers up 7-0 early in the second quarter with a 82-yard touchdown catch. Instead, Cypress tracked him down near the goal line and was able to punch the ball out at the last possible moment.

Cypress then recovered the fumble in the end zone, resulting a touchback for the Noles.

That’s a critical play for FSU as it looks to move to 9-0 on the season with a win on Saturday. The Noles are also trying to get to 7-0 in ACC play with a victory on Saturday.

Cypress is in his first season with the Seminoles after transferring in from Virginia this past offseason.

FSU’s offense is playing without its top playmakers on Saturday in star receivers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman. The Noles would clinch a spot in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday with a win.
