Florida State 4-star commit Lucas Simmons is still dedicated to the Seminoles.

Simmons, who is a coveted offensive lineman, reassured Florida State fans that his commitment to the program has not changed. He made that declaration on Twitter on Monday night:

The announcement came shortly after Florida State lost the commitment of offensive lineman Roderick Kearney.

Kearney flipped his commitment from Florida State to Florida. Florida State was expecting to have 2 key offensive line recruits in Kearney and Simmons. This commitment flip was a major blow to Florida State’s recruiting class in 2023. After Kearney’s decision, Simmons is the lone offensive lineman in Florida State 2023 recruiting class.

Simmons will be an important piece in the upcoming recruiting class to have  a talented offensive lineman. Simmons is the No. 12 ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the 25th ranked high school prospect in Florida and is the No. 110 overall recruit in the country.

Florida State will hope that Simmons stays true to his word. Currently, Florida State has the No. 19 overall recruiting class in 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Norvell spent Florida State’s bye week on the recruiting trail. FSU returns from the bye week against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
