Florida State’s 2024 recruiting class continues to add talent.

The Seminoles picked up a commitment from 4-star safety CJ Heard on Saturday afternoon. He’s also in Tallahassee on a visit.

Here’s his announcement:

Heard is the No. 23 safety in the country for the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 249 player nationally.

He’s a Georgia native who attends Woodward Academy in Atlanta. Heard is listed at 6-foot, 200 pounds.

Heard chose the Seminoles over offers from programs like Arkansas, Florida and Michigan, amongst others.

FSU coach Mike Norvell was quick to celebrate Heard’s commitment on Saturday afternoon.

Florida State is already up to 6 commitments in the class of 2024. The group currently ranks No. 2 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The class is led by 5-star athlete Kameron Davis and 4-star Jordan Pride. Both Davis and Pride are currently top-100 prospects.
