Florida State added its first 2023 prospect on Saturday afternoon.
The Seminoles picked up a commitment from 4-star power forward Taylor Bowen.
Here’s his announcement:
Bowen is the No. 7 power forward in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 31 overall player, making him a fringe 5-star prospect.
Listed at 6-foot-9, Bowen fits the prototype of players that coach Leonard H
amilton has been pursuing in recent years. He has the size and length to make an impact on both sides of the ball.
He attends Brewster Academy in New Hampshire — one of the top preps basketball programs in the country. Notable alumni include NBA players like Donovan Mitchell, Devonté Graham and TJ Warren.
Bowen also had offers from programs like Duke, Houston, Arkansas and Kansas, amongst numerous others. A visit to Tallahassee earlier this month was apparently enough to seal the deal.
