Florida State adds transfer OL from SEC program
Florida State made a late transfer portal pickup to its 2022 roster on Tuesday afternoon.
The Seminoles officially announced the addition of former South Carolina offensive lineman Jazston Turnetine.
Listed at 6-foot-7, Turnetine has the size and experience to play an immediate role for the Seminoles. He’s a redshirt senior who started 10 games for the Gamecocks at left tackle over the past 2 seasons.
“Jazston has tremendous size with great power and athleticism,” FSU coach Mike Norvell said in a release. “His starting experience in big games and his skillset immediately increases the competition among our offensive line group.”
Florida State has made several transfer portal additions along the offensive line this cycle. Turnetine joins D’mitri Emmanuel, Kayden Lyles and Bless Harris as incoming transfers up front.
Turnetine gives offensive coordinator and OL coach Alex Atkins even more flexibility in rebuilding Florida State’s offensive line this offseason.
FSU opens the 2022 season against Duquesne on Aug. 27.
