Florida State adds walk-on QB from Tallahassee to class of 2023

Florida State is rounding out its quarterback room with a walk-on from Tallahassee in the class of 2023.

Michael Grant announced his commitment to the Noles on Wednesday morning. He attends Maclay High School in Tallahassee.

Here’s his announcement:

Grant is listed at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds. He also played basketball and baseball at Maclay High School. He took an unofficial visit to Florida State back in November.

He joins a quarterback room that also includes returners Jordan Travis, Tate Rodemaker and AJ Duffy. The Noles also signed 3-star quarterback Brock Glenn in the class of 2023.

Overall, FSU’s 2023 recruiting class ranks No. 16 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Florida State signed 17 prospects during the Early Signing Period.
