Rayquan Evans, Caleb Mills, Malik Osborne, Tanor Ngom and Wyatt Wilkes started for the Seminoles. All five starters scored in double figures, with Evans leading the team with 17 points.
Matthew Cleveland and Jalen Warley led the bench unit with 8 points each. Cleveland also added a team-high 5 assists in the game.
As a team, Florida State shot 61 percent from the floor and 42 percent from beyond the arc. On the other side, Leonard Hamilton’s defense limited Mississippi College to just 29 percent shooting and forced 17 turnovers.
If there was a bright spot for Mississippi College, it was on the offensive glass β it beat FSU to 16 offensive rebounds. However, those 16 offensive boards were only converted into 14 second-chance points.
FSU will face Florida College on Nov. 5 in a final exhibition game before the start of the 2021-22 campaign.
