Florida State was able to hold off other top programs by landing the commitment of athlete Edwin Joseph.

Joseph was being recruited by several notable schools, but he decided to commit to Florida State for the 2023 season. As an athlete, Florida State will be able to use Joseph in multiple positions on offense. In high school, Joseph saw significant playing time as a wide receiver at Chaminade-Madonna High School in Hollywood, Florida.

Here’s video of his commitment announcement:

Joseph selected Florida State over Auburn, Louisville, and South Carolina. Joseph recently visited those 3 schools before he committed to FSU.

Joseph, a 3-star recruit, could be a versatile weapon in Mike Norvell’s offense at Florida State. He was the No. 29 ranked athlete in the country and the No. 85 ranked recruited in Florida, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

When Joseph officially joins the program, he will be joining a Florida State team that posted a 9-3 record in the regular season. Florida State had its best season since Norvell became the head coach in 2020. Joseph will hope to be part of the program’s success moving forward.

Florida State will end the season against Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
