Florida State shocked Virginia 64-63 on Saturday afternoon thanks to an improbable buzzer-beater from forward Matthew Cleveland.

Down by two, the Seminoles had just one second to either take the lead or send it to overtime. Here’s how Cleveland responded:

Cleveland scored a team-high 20 points in the win.

The win doesn’t do much for Florida State’s postseason changes. FSU has been decimated by injuries this season and had lost eight of its last nine games prior to this one.

However, Florida State did play spoiler to Virginia in a big way. The Cavaliers had built momentum toward an NCAA Tournament berth, but that’s now likely off the table.

Virginia is now almost certain to be NIT-bound. It’s unclear if Florida State will have enough on its résumé to make the NIT. It’s 15-13 overall and has impressive wins over programs like Duke, Miami and now Virginia.

Florida State hosts Notre Dame on Wednesday.
