Florida State defeated Duke 79-78 in overtime on Tuesday night in a historic victory.

The win was FSU’s 13th straight triumph in overtime, a streak that dates all the way back to 2018. It’s the longest such streak in the history of division 1 men’s college basketball.

Florida State’s last overtime loss came vs. Iowa on Dec. 2, 2015. Malik Beasley led Florida State with 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting in that game.

In addition to being a record-setting win, Florida State is now alone in second place in the ACC standings. The Seminoles will play for first place in the conference on Saturday against Miami.
