Florida State defensive back Sidney Williams has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The Tallahassee Democrat’s Carter Karels was first to report the move. Williams spent the last three seasons with the Noles.

Williams started four games for Florida State in 2021, but had a lesser role as a redshirt sophomore in 2022. This season, he recorded 12 total tackles across 10 games.

He was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2020. Williams was ranked as the No. 559 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 23 player from the state of Alabama.

Florida State made several key additions to its secondary last offseason that impacted Williams’ playing time. With Williams now exiting the program, the Noles will have another scholarship available to add via the portal again.

Williams will have two years of eligibility at his next program.
