Florida State DL Fabien Lovett announces plans for 2023 season
Florida State defensive lineman Fabien Lovett is returning to school for another season.
Lovett made that announcement on Sunday morning. He played in only seven games in 2022 due to various injuries, but he made a big impact when he was on the field.

In 2022, Lovett recorded 10 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 sack. He was a major factor in the running game when he was healthy enough to play this season. His absence was felt in the Cheez-It Bowl against Oklahoma, as the Sooners were able to run the ball at-will with inexperienced running backs and backup offensive linemen.
Next year, Lovett will likely team up on the defensive line with Western Michigan transfer Braden Fiske. The Seminoles have also signed Miami transfer defensive lineman Darrell Jackson. The defensive line is shaping up to be a major strength for Florida State in 2023.
Florida State is still awaiting decisions from key players like Johnny Wilson and Jared Verse.
FSU went 10-3 during the 2022 season.
