The Seminoles earned a commitment from former Oregon State defensive end Sione Lolohea. He shared his commitment announcement on Instagram:

Lolohea has been a top target for the Noles since he entered the transfer portal late last week. New FSU quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who of course played with Lolohea in Corvallis last season, was publicly recruiting the talented pass rusher on social media.

Lolohea was named second-team All-Pac-12 for his performance in 2023. He totaled 47 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks last season. He has 14.5 tackles for loss over the past two seasons.

Lolohea will help replenish a Florida State defensive line that is losing a lot of talent this offseason. Jared Verse, Fabien Lovett and Braden Fiske are expected to turn pro while Malcolm Ray has decided to enter the transfer portal.

Florida State has now added 10 transfers to its incoming class so far this offseason. The Noles’ transfer class sits in the top 5 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
