Florida State is joining the race for a highly-coveted Division II prospect in the transfer portal.

On Wednesday, the Seminoles offered a scholarship to tight end Kyle Morlock from Shorter University. Here’s his offer announcement:

Morlock has already received offers from programs such as NC State, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri and more. He’s expected to be one of the most-recruited tight ends in the portal this cycle.

He could make an immediate impact in Florida State’s offense next season. Morlock is listed at 6-foot-7, 245 pounds and is a big threat in the passing game.

He recorded 30 catches for 446 yards and 6 touchdowns in 11 games this season. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Florida State has used the tight end position in its offense this season. Both Camren McDonald and Markeston Douglas have over 10 receptions and 140 yards on the season. McDonald is fourth on the team with 268 receiving yards entering Week 13.
