Florida State finalizes top-20 recruiting class for class of 2022
Florida State polished off a top-20 recruiting class on National Signing Day on Wednesday.
The Seminoles, who signed most of their 2022 class back in December, ended up with 16 total signees for this cycle. Eleven of those players have enrolled early and will participate in spring practice.
The class ranks No. 20 nationally and No. 4 in the ACC, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Florida State signed 9 players from the Sunshine State, by far the most from any state in this class. Georgia was second with three players headed to Tallahassee in this cycle.
The class is led by 4-star safety Sam McCall, who is the No. 47 overall player in the class of 2022. He’s also the No. 4 safety in this class and the No. 8 player from the state of Florida.
The other big name to know is 4-star quarterback signee AJ Duffy. Duffy is the No. 11 quarterback in this class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He was a standout performer at Elite Eleven and is expected to compete for FSU’s backup role next season.
Florida State will now turn its attention to the class of 2023. The Seminoles are off to a great start in that cycle with four commitments so far, including a pair of 4-star prospects.
