Florida State’s recruiting class is continuing to make progress with just weeks remaining until the Early Signing Period.

The Noles have 16 commitments so far in the class of 2023 — a number that will almost certainly increase before December. As of mid-October, the class ranks No. 16 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Florida State’s class has improved significantly since the start of the season. The Noles picked up commitments from 5-star receiver Hykeem Williams and 4-star linebacker Blake Nichelson in late September.

Unsurprisingly, FSU’s class has largely been built within the state of Florida. More than half of the prospect currently signed up to join Florida State’s program reside in the Sunshine State.

If there is a big weakness in this class for FSU, it is the lack of a quarterback. Florida State has not been able to replace Chris Parson, who decommitted from the program over the summer. However, the Noles could still make a late addition at QB or choose to focus their QB recruiting efforts on the 2024 cycle.
