Florida State football to play ACC opponent in Ireland in 2024, per report

Florida State football will open its 2024 campaign against Georgia Tech in Ireland, according to a report.

That’s per Noles247’s Chris Nee, who says it will be a Week 0 contest between FSU and the Yellow J

ackets. This game was previously scheduled to take place in Atlanta, so the move will not impact Florida State’s home schedule.

The game will be played at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, per the report. Ireland hosted Nebraska-Northwestern in 2022 and will host Notre Dame-Navy in 2023.

This will be the 2nd time in 3 years that Florida State opens the season with a Week 0 contest. The Noles opened their 2022 campaign a

gainst Duquesne.

The Week 0 contest in Ireland likely means that Florida State will be off in Week 1.

The Noles are set to have a unique schedule in 2024 as they’re expected to play 3 nonconference games in November (Notre Dame, Charleston Southern and Florida). Memphis is the only nonconference game currently scheduled for September.

Florida State has not yet officially announced plans to play in Ireland in 2024.
