Florida State home game? Media, fans react to FSU-heavy crowd vs. LSU
Florida State will be playing in front of a largely-favorable crowd when it faces off against No. 5 LSU on Sunday night in Orlando.
According to reports from numerous media and fans who are in attendance, Florida State fans are the dominant majority for the Week 1 clash.
While that’s somewhat to-be expected given the game is being played much closer to Tallahassee than Baton Rouge, last year’s meeting between these teams in New Orleans was reportedly closer to a 50/50 split.
Here’s some of the reaction from media and fans to the crowd split:

Feels like an FSU home game inside Camping World Stadium. Crowd split is about 80/20

This looks like a heavy, heavy, heavy FSU crowd. I'd say about 80-20 'Noles.

Looks like a 70/30 split of FSU fans outnumbering LSU fans.

My extremely official crowd estimate: 72.2% FSU, 27.8% LSU

Last year in New Orleans it was a 50-50 crowd split. This year in Orlando it’s about 75-25 in FSU’s favor.

Yeah FSU has dominated this crowd in Orlando tonight. It’s like 80/20. Maybe 85/15

Loud Warchant as the LSU band takes the field.
I’d say it’s probably 65/35 in favor of FSU fans here. pic.twitter.com/l0HaFbeQKb

There’s plenty of momentum behind Florida State entering the 2023 season. The Noles won 10 games a year ago and are expected to compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff this year.
LSU will be a tough test, however. The Tigers are coming off of a great season in Brian Kelly’s first year at the helm. LSU rebounded from last year’s loss to Florida State and won the SEC West.
Florida State is 8-2 all-time against LSU.
