If the NFL Draft were held today, Florida State’s Jared Verse would be drafted in the top 10, according to PFF.
Verse was the No. 9 overall pick in PFF’s latest mock draft, heading to the Chicago Bears.

Verse has emerged as one of the top defenders in college football this season, and was previously named to the Bednarik Award Midseason Watch List. The award is given to the best defensive player in college football.

2022 transfer from the University of Albany, Verse has been a playmaker this season for the Noles. The sophomore has 15 solo tackles and 5.5 sacks on the season. Of his tackles, 7.5 have been for a loss, and he has 1 blocked kick.
Verse will be back in action on Saturday as Florida State takes on Syracuse.
