Florida State lands 2026 commitment from in-state ATH
Florida State and Mike Norvell received a commitment from Class of 2026 athlete Darryl Bell III out of Barbara Goleman Senior High School in Hialeah, Fl on Tuesday.
Bell commited to the Seminoles over the likes of Louisville, Florida Atlantic, Bethune-Cookman and Charlotte. After the Wildcats and 49ers offered Bell earlier this year, FSU jumped on the train and offered him on May 5. Bell also attended Florida State’s summer camp on June 18, although he is not yet rated by 247Sports.
He joins 4-star athlete Devin Carter in making up the Noles’ 2026 recruiting class, which currently ranks 5th in the nation according to 247. At 6-feet tall and 175 lbs., Bell has plenty of time to bulk up and figure out what position he may want to play in college.
With this commitment, FSU now has as many 2026 commits as it does in the Class of 2025. The Noles also currently rank 6th overall in 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings for the Class of 2024.
