Florida State lands commitment from elite defensive lineman transfer
Florida State added a major defensive linemen to its 2023 roster on Monday afternoon.
The Noles earned a commitment from Western Michigan defensive lineman Braden Fiske. He chose Florida State over Notre Dame and other elite programs.

Fiske was a 3-year starter at Western Michigan and was named second-team All-MAC in 2022. He made 12 tackles for loss and 6 sacks this season, both career-highs.
Fiske ranks as the No. 20 overall transfer for the 2023 cycle so far, per ESPN’s rankings.
He joins a transfer portal class at Florida State that is already elite. The Noles have picked up commitments from players like Darrell Jackson, tight end Jaheim Bell and offensive tackle Jeremiah Byers, amongst others.
Overall, Florida State has already received 7 commitments from transfers. The Noles have the No. 2-ranked transfer portal class in the country so far, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Florida State is expected to continue recruiting transfers in the coming weeks and months.
