Florida State lands commitment from major international prospect
Florida State coach Leonard Miller landed a very intriguing prospect on Monday morning.
The Seminoles picked up a commitment from Baba Miller, who is one of the more intriguing international prospects in the class of 2023.

“After a lot of thinking I have made my final decision,” Miller wrote in his announcement. “I really want to thank my family for their constant support, encouragement and unconditional love. I also want to thank all the schools that have shown interest in me over the last months, especially Gonzaga. Finally, I would also like to thank Real Madrid, and all the coaches and teammates I have had these last six years, it has been a great ride. It has been a very hard decision to make but I am really excited for this next step in my career, and I’m willing to give it my all at FSU!”
Miller is from Spain and has spent the last 6 season with Real Madrid. He chose the Seminoles over an offer from Gonzaga.
Listed at 6-foot-11, he’ll have a chance to play for the Seminoles right away. Florida State will be looking to replace — and improve upon — John Butler’s minutes from last season. Butler opted to stay in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Miller is expected to play for Spain this summer at the U-18 Euro Championship and then move to Tallahassee in August.
Here’s a look at some of Miller’s highlights from his time in Spain:
