Florida State picked up big-time commitment from 4-star running back Samuel Singleton on Friday evening.

Singleton chose the Seminoles over programs like Penn State and Tennessee, amongst several other major offers.

Here’s his announcement:

Singleton is the No. 15 running back in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 287 player nationally and the No. 58 player from the state of Florida.

He’s from Orange Park, Fla. and attends Fleming Island High School. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds.

Singleton is currently Florida State’s highest-rated skill player in this cycle. The Seminoles are now up to 12 commitments in this class. Florida State’s ranking improved to No. 32 nationally thanks to this commitment, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

While that ranking is below Florida State’s typical expectations on the recruiting trail, FSU still has several months to move up the leaderboard. The Early Signing Period doesn’t begin until December.
