Florida State linebacker target Blake Nichelson announced 3 finalists and set his commitment date on Thursday afternoon.

Nichelson will announce his college commitment on Sept. 20. He says he’s still considering Florida State, Oregon and UCLA.

Here’s his announcement:

Nichelson is one of Florida State’s top remaining targets in the class of 2023. He’s the No. 19 linebacker in the country for this cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Nichelson is from Manteca, California. FSU doesn’t often recruit California — its last signee from that state was 3-star JUCO tight end Koby Gross in the class of 2021.

He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds and attends Manteca High School.

In addition to his final 3, Nichelson also has offers from programs like Utah, Wisconsin, Nebraska and numerous other Power 5 teams.

Florida State currently has 14 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 23 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
