Florida State linebacker Tatum Bethune left FSU’s game at Louisville on Friday night with an apparent arm injury.

The injury occurred toward the end of Louisville’s second drive against the Seminoles. Bethune made an awkward tackle on first down against the Cardinals in the red zone.

He left the game, retreating the sidelines for further evaluation.

If Bethune is out for any extended period of time, it would be a big loss for Florida State’s defense. He arrived from UCF this offseason and has immediately become a staple in the middle of FSU’s defense.

Through 2 games this season, Bethune collected 11 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 1 sack. He also has a pass defended.

Louisville scored its first touchdown of the game on the first play without Bethune.

Florida State was favored by 3 points on the road on Friday night.

Update: Bethune returned to Florida State’s defense in the second quarter.
