Florida State lost a commitment from 3-star defensive lineman Keishawn Mashburn on Thursday morning.

Mashburn had been committed to FSU since July of 2022.

Here’s his announcement:

“I want to thank Coach Norvell and the staff for the love they have shown throughout the process,” he wrote in-part. “My recruitment is 100 percent open and I look forward to finding the best fit for me and my family.”

Mashburn was Florida State’s lowest-ranked commit in the class of 2024, with the exception of kicker Jake Weinberg (unranked). He’s currently ranked as the No. 1,113 player in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Mashburn did recently pick up a Maryland offer.

Florida State still has 8 commitments in the class of 2024. Overall, the class ranks No. 5 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. FSU also still has 1 commitment on its defensive line from 3-star Jamori Flagg (Miami, Fla.).

The class is led by running back Kameron Davis, who is on the cusp of 5-star status. He’s currently ranked as the No. 32 overall player in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
