Florida State is one of six programs sill in the mix for 5-star receiver prospect Shelton Sampson Jr.

Sampson Jr. revealed his final 6 on Monday evening. The Seminoles are joined by LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon and Texas A&M.

Sampson is one of the best players in the entire country for the class of 2023. He currently ranks as the No. 32 overall player and the No. 3 receiver, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from the state of Louisiana.

Florida State is off to a great start in the Class of 2023. The Seminoles already have commitments from 6 players, including 3 verbal pledges from 4-star prospects.

Sampson’s recruiting will obviously be highly-competitive, but FSU has put itself in good position to recruit elite players. Florida State currently as the No. 2 class in the ACC, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The talented receiver has already made one visit to Tallahassee back in March, per his 247Sports recruiting profile. That was an unofficial visit, which means he could still return to campus on an official visit later this summer.

There is no timetable for his commitment.
