Florida State is in the mix to land one of the more intriguing tight end transfers in the country.

The Seminoles are in the top 3 for Shorter University transfer tight end Kyle Morlock. He set his top 3 programs in an interview with The Chris Mathis Podcast this week.

In addition to Florida State, Morlock is also considering Auburn and Tennessee. He also acknowledged that a final decision could be coming soon.

“I’m getting pretty near to a decision,” Morlock said on the podcast. “Because I want to be somewhere in the spring.”

Florida State has been aggressive in the transfer portal so far this cycle, especially at tight end. The Noles were one of the first major programs to show interest in Morlock after he entered the portal.

FSU has also already added a transfer tight end in Jaheim Bell from South Carolina. However, the Seminoles have been trying to add multiple tight ends via the portal in this cycle. Their top receiving tight end from their 2022 team, Camren McDonald, is out of eligibility.

At Shorter University this season, Morlock recorded 30 catches for 446 yards and 6 touchdowns. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
