Florida State moved up to No. 14 in this week’s coaches poll.

The Seminoles were ranked No. 16 heading into Week 13. The move comes after Florida State defeated rival Florida 45-38 on Friday night.

FSU defeated Miami and UF in the same season for the first time since 2016. That was also the last year that Florida State won more than seven games in a season.

Florida State is now 9-3 on the year and will have an opportunity to get to 10 wins in its bowl game. The Seminoles could end up in a New Year’s Six bowl depending on how the final College Football Playoff rankings shake out.

FSU does not have a path to the Orange Bowl, but it could earn a Cotton Bowl berth as an at-large team. Notre Dame and Oregon’s losses over the weekend help clear the path for that.

The Seminoles are likely to finish the year as the second highest-ranked ACC team.

The College Football Playoff selection committee will release their updated rankings on Tuesday night.
