Florida State opens as road favorite over Florida in Week 13
Florida State is a 6-point favorite against rival Florida on the road this weekend.
That’s per the initial line set by DraftKings on Sunday afternoon. A total has not yet been set for this contest.
Both Florida State and Florida will unfortunately be shorthanded this weekend. FSU quarterback Jordan Travis was carted off the field on Saturday after suffering a serious leg injury. Florida quarterback Graham Mertz is also expected to miss the game with a collarbone injury.
That leaves both programs with backup quarterbacks in a crucial rivalry matchup.
FSU, who is playing to keep its spot in the College Football Playoff, will go with Tate Rodemaker in Travis’ place. Rodemaker is an experienced backup who is in his fourth season with the Noles.
Florida will likely turn to Max Brown, who replaced Mertz at the end of the Missouri game over the weekend. Brown completed 4-of-5 passes for 56 yards in Florida’s heartbreaking loss to Mizzou on Saturday night.
Last season, Florida State defeated Florida 45-38 in Tallahassee. UF still holds the all-time series advantage at 37-27-2.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
