At long last, Florida State is back in the AP Top 25.

The Seminoles are No. 23 in the updated rankings, which were released on Sunday afternoon. This is Florida State’s first appearance in the AP Top 25 since the 2018 season.

Florida State was ranked in the AP’s preseason poll in 2018. But the Noles lost to Virginia Tech in the season-opener and haven’t been back since.

Florida State finally broke through after their blowout win over Boston College on Saturday night. The Seminoles were dominant on all 3 sides of the ball and quarterback Jordan Travis set a new career-high for passing yards.

The Seminoles are now preparing to enter a difficult portion of their schedule. FSU will face fellow ACC contenders Wake Forest, NC State and Clemson over the next 3 weeks. However, only the NC State game is on the road.

Florida State and Wake Forest will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
