Florida State remained at No. 23 in ESPN’s updated power rankings after Week 3.

The Seminoles are coming off a close win on the road at Louisville on Friday night. Florida State made several crucial mistakes in the game, but still found a way to win.

FSU also suffered game-ending injuries to key players like quarterback Jordan Travis and defensive end Jared Verse. Their status going forward is not yet known.

Here’s some analysis from ESPN’s Andrea Adelson.

When starting quarterback Jordan Travis and starting defensive end Jared Verse went down with injuries in the first half against Louisville, it felt like the ultimate disaster scenario for the Seminoles. But backup Tate Rodemaker led a come-from-behind victory, throwing two touchdown passes to Johnny Wilson in the fourth quarter to win 35-31.

Florida State is now 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2015. That was also the last season where the Noles won 10+ games in a single campaign.

Coach Mike Norvell is expected to update the injury status of Travis and Verse later in the week.

FSU faces Boston College in Week 4.
