Florida State reportedly loses former 4-star recruit to transfer portal

Florida State offensive lineman Rod Orr has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

That news was first reported by On3’s Matt Zenitz.

Orr was a 4-star p

rospect in Florida State’s 2021 recruiting class. However, he has not played for the Seminoles in two seasons with the program.

Orr was the No. 330 overall prospect in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 23 offensive tackle and the No. 10 player in the state of Alabama in that class.

His exit opens up another s

cholarship for Florida State to use in the transfer portal or in the 2023 recruiting class. FSU is expected to be aggressive in adding more talent via the transfer portal this offseason.

FSU brought in multiple offensive lineman via the portal for the 2022 season. That list includes D’Mitri Emmanuel and Jazston Turnetine.

Orr will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next program.
