Florida State quarterback AJ Duffy is reportedly leaving Tallahassee and heading for the portal, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Duffy will have immediate eligibility and 3 years left to play college football. Duffy played in a total of 4 games for the Seminoles over the last 2 seasons.

The quarterback rotation at Florida State did not feature Duffy this season, with Jordan Travis dominating the snaps until his injury. Tate Rodemaker and Brock Glenn have also seen the field.

Mike Norvell has 4-star QB Luke Kromenhoek as a verbal commit from the 2024 class coming in.

Duffy was a former 4-star quarterback in the 2022 class out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. He picked the Seminoles over ACC programs like Boston College, Louisville, and Miami.

Florida State was one of the teams that was left out of the College Football Playoff on Sunday, despite finishing undefeated through 13 games.

However, the Seminoles will get to play another team that didn’t make the cut in the Orange Bowl with Georgia.

Kickoff will be on Dec. 30 at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
