Florida State slips out of top 4 in AP Top 25 poll
Florida State slipped one spot to No. 5 overall in the AP Top 25 this week.
FSU defeated North Alabama 58-13 on Saturday, but the win was costly. Jordan Travis was carted off the field after suffering what appeared to be a serious leg injury. FSU has not yet provided an official update on his status.
It’s unclear how much — if at all — AP voters decided to take Travis’ injury into account when filling out their ballots this week. Washington, who overtook FSU for the No. 4 spot, earned a win over then-No. 10 Oregon State in Week 12.
Tate Rodemaker entered the game and threw 2 touchdown passes in Florida State’s victory. Rodemaker is now expected to be the starter for Florida State for the remainder of the season.
FSU, along with Louisville, is 1 of only 2 ACC teams to make the AP Top 25 this week. North Carolina dropped out of the poll after falling to Clemson in Week 12.
Florida State will now prepare to face Florida on the road in Week 12.
