Florida State went 5-0 this week and retained its No. 4 ranking in the D1Softball top 25.

The Seminoles are now 15-0 on the season. They beat Florida A&M in the mid-week before sweeping double-headers vs. Hofstra and Indiana in a tournament in Tallahassee this weekend. They won those four games by a combined scored of 25-1.

Florida State is behind three other teams with perfect records — Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida.

However, Florida State has played one of the toughest schedules in the country so far this season. The Seminoles already have five ranked wins, including an extra-innings win over then-No. 3 UCLA.

Florida State is a strong contender to make it back to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. FSU reached the final last season before falling to Oklahoma.

So far this season, FSU has been led by Michaela Edenfield offensively. Edenfield is hitting .412 on the year and leads the Seminoles with 6 home runs and 14 RBI.

In the circle, Florida State’s Kathryn Sandercock is 8-0 with a 0.5 ERA after 12 appearances. Danielle Watson has an ERA of 1.12 after 7 starts.
