Florida State defensive tackle Fabien Lovett is back at practice after missing some time with an injury.

Since the start of the season, Lovett has been dealing with an injury that forced him to miss several games. In Week 1, he suffered a lower leg injury against LSU and has not played since then. He registered 2 total tackles against the Tigers.

After being out for nearly 7 weeks, Lovett is starting to get back into playing shape. On Tuesday, he was filmed participating in warmups at practice.

Florida State currently is on a bye week, which will give Lovett more time to get ready for his return games. He will have 11 days to be healthy enough to return in time for Florida State’s next contest.

Lovett is in his 3rd season at Florida State. He transferred to Florida State after he spent the 2019 season at Mississippi State. In 2020, he played in 8 games and registered 1 sack and 14 tackles for Florida State. Last season, Lovett had 28 total tackles and 2 sacks in 11 games. He was expected to take a step forward on the defense in 2022, but an injury held him back.

Florida State will try to have Lovett return for the Week 9 matchup against Georgia Tech.
