Florida State is having a former Georgia player for a visit ahead of the Orange Bowl in edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr.

Jones saw time as a reserve linebacker and special teams contributor last season in 13 games. He played in 12 games this year with 1 start against Alabama in the SEC Championship. Jones accounted for 16 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks over the last 2 seasons.

The Seminoles will be hosting Jones this weekend and have been busy recruiting the transfer portal lately. There have been reports that former Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and former Washington State QB Cam Ward set up campus visits in Tallahassee.

The Bulldogs picked up a commitment from Jones as a part of their 2022 class. He was a 5-star edge rusher. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 3 edge rusher in his class. Florida State actually offered Jones as a recruit.

The Orange Bowl will be on Dec. 30 with kickoff starting at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
