Florida State has been pursuing Georgia transfer offensive lineman Amarius Mims in recent weeks, and the talented tackle has finally made a decision.

Mims officially withdrew from the transfer portal on Monday, which indicates that he’s opting to stay with the Bulldogs.

Mims was one of the most sought-after players in the transfer portal this offseason. He visited Tallahassee this weekend, but ultimately chose to stay with Georgia.

This is a tough blow for Florida State, who has been looking for more help along the offensive line. The Seminoles are hoping to be better up front this season after giving up 36 sacks last season.

Overall, it has been a good offseason for FSU and the transfer portal. The Seminoles have added impact players like receiver Mycah Pittman (Oregon), running back Trey Benson (Oregon), defensive lineman Jared Verse (Albany) and linebacker Tatum Bethune (UCF), to name a few.

Players have until May 1 to enter the transfer portal and maintain eligibility for the following season. It remains to be see whether Florida State will choose to pursue another offensive lineman in the portal.
