Florida State is apparently in a good spot for 4-star linebacker Blake Nichelson.

Two lead recruiting experts for 247Sports, Steve Wiltfong and Brandon Huffman, are projecting Nichelson to pick the Seminoles. Wiltfong and Huffman made those predictions on Sunday night.

Nichelson would be a big addition to Florida State’s 2023 recruiting class. He’s currently ranked as the No. 18 linebacker in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 242 overall player in the country.

Nichelson has visited Tallahassee twice this summer and is coming off an official visit in late July.

If he ends up picking FSU, it would be an impressive recruiting win for the Noles. He’s a California native who also has offers from some of the top programs in the Pac-12 in Oregon, UCLA and Utah. Nichelson also holds offers from Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Nichelson previously named a top 3 of Florida State, UCLA and Oregon:

Florida State’s 2023 recruiting class has just 11 commitments so far. The group ranks No. 46 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some of Nichelson’s highlights from his junior season:
