Former Florida State offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham is expected to be the next coach at Arizona State, according to multiple reports.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel was first to report the news. Dillingham is an Arizona State alum. He’s finishing up his first season as Oregon’s offensive coordinator.
At 32 years old, Dillingham would become the youngest coach at any Power 5 program. He would be replacing Herm Edwards, who was fired after the Sun Devils’ loss to Eastern Michigan back in September.
Dillingham left for Eugene at the end of last season. He spent the previous two sea
sons as Florida State’s QB coach and offensive coordinator. He also worked for Mike Norvell at Memphis and at Arizona State as an offensive analyst while Norvell was the OC.
He was replaced by Alex Atkins, who has done an excellent job with Florida State’s offense. FSU leads the country in plays of 20+ yards so far this season.
The school has not officially announced the move.
