Greg McElroy is excited about Florida State’s potential in 2023.

The Noles are coming off of a 10-3 season, their best campaign since 2016. With Jordan Travis, Jared Verse, Johnny Wilson and others set to return, McElroy is feeling optimistic about FSU.

“I think they’re the best team returning in the ACC,” McElroy said on Always College Football this week.. “You’ve got 7 back on offense, you’ve got 9 back on defense. They’ve already proven to be a team that can not just attract guys in the portal, but can take the guys they brought in and put them in a great situation to make a legitimate leap forward.”

McElroy also said Jordan Travis could be the best quarterback in the ACC next season and is a great “compliment” to FSU’s efficient running game.

“I think Florida State is poised to have a breakout season,” he added. “I am so optimistic. This is the most optimistic I’ve been about a Florida State football team since prior to the 2014 season.”
