Florida State picked up a huge commitment from 5-star receiver Hykeem Williams on Friday afternoon.

Williams would be FSU’s highest-ranked signee since 2017 when the Noles brought in 4 5-star prospects in one class. That group was led by Cam Akers and Marvin Wilson.

Williams made sure he had a commitment ceremony to match the moment.

Instead of having the typical hats on a table setup, Williams had a hat for each of his 6 finalists in a rotating glass case. Here’s a look:

Williams chose Florida State over Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Pittsburgh.

The 5-star receiver also had a flashy entrance to his ceremony at Stranahan High School.

Williams ultimately used the hats as a decoy, even tossing Florida State’s hat to the side. He also briefly picked up a Miami hat.

Instead, Williams was handed a Florida State jersey during his commitment:

Williams is the No. 22 overall player and the No. 4 receiver in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
